Picatinny Arsenal is the Center of the U.S. Military for Guns and Ammunition, Picatinny uses unique laboratories and special facilities to
evaluate prototype designs.
In Late 2022, The Core of Engineers contacted API to design a custom Vehicle Exhaust removal system for High Volume vehicles including Stryker M1126
Infantry Carrier Vehicle and Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
The system includes custom Motorized Hose Reels with 75′ of 10″ High Temperature 1250-degree Hose
The hose reels have interchangeable Nozzles to adapt to a variety of vehicles
The Exhaust Blowers are Chicago Blower D16A 15HP Belt drive with high temp paint and heat slingers
Each Hose reel delivers over 2000 CFM at the nozzle.
System was installed in September 2023
Dept of Defense is very pleased with the system and has ordered a new system for an Expeditionary Maintenance Facility including 17 Hose Reels with 18″ x 75′ Hose, this system will be installed in early 2024.
