These units operate on particulate ranging in size from .01 micron through 10 micra. The particulate may be in the form of either liquids or solids. The precipitation process consists of placing an electric charge on the particles and establishing an electric field that causes the particulate to be attracted to and collected on the medium provided. These units come in a wide range of sizes, from 150 CFM to 100,000 CFM.
